Poco Blackburn Ivy, "Coco", comes from the Buller's breeding program, who are known for producing some of the best quality foundation horses you can find. Her pedigree boasts some of the the best Blackburn lines like Coco Blackburn and Poco Blackburn Pine. As far as we know this mare has not been started under saddle and therefore she is selling as a broodmare only. This will also be her first foal as far as we know. She is easy to handle, stands tied, good for baths, etc. She took via AI the first try this year with no problems.
Blackburn Defender is a proven head horse, heel horse, money earning barrel horse, has placed at ranch horse shows and his resume continues to grow. He is consistently passing on his shapey build, big bone and "born broke" demeanor to his foals. He is 100% foundation, making this resulting foal to be 97-98.5% foundation.
Crossing Poco Blackburn Ivy with Blackburn Defender gives you that "magic cross" of Poco Bueno blood onto a Blackburn mare, which is known for making outstanding rope horses, barrel horses, reining horses, cutting horses and ranch horses, there is really not much these pedigrees have not excelled at.
"Ringo" is sired by Sun Frosted Rocket and out of a granddaughter of Chicks Beduino and A Classic Dash. This colt is conformationally correct and an absolute dream to ride. He is light in the face, smooth and very athletic. He is an outstanding prospect who could easily be ready for the 4 year old futurities in 2026 or a hold over as a 5 year old.
We bred and raised this colt so know everything about him. We take immense pride in taking our time starting and training all our horses ensuring they are well broke, correct and confident, and he is no exception. Ringo has all the pieces you need to start on the pattern and with his quick learning style and desire to please, I have no doubt it will take no time at all. He is a big stopper, quick footed and above all very even minded. He has been hauled and rode around at barrel races, he has roped the sled, pushed cattle and is easy to handle on the ground. Sun Frosted Rocket offsprings are WINNERS and this guy will be in the winner's circle.
This is not a decision we made lightly as I had every intention of taking him to the futurities myself. However, sometimes we have to pivot a little in life and this is one of those times.

"Rojo" is out of Bea With A Twist whose pedigree alone makes her remarkable but added with her own NRHA earnings, equistat progeny earnings in excess of $37k and the dam of Smartys Dunny who sold for a record breaking $250,000 at the Rancho Rio rope horse sale, she is genuinely the whole package. There is no doubt this foal will be an outstanding rope horse, reining or cow horse prospect.

Registration is pending and he will be weaned and ready for his new home in September. Will accept payments until weaning with a non-refundable deposit. This will likely be the last foal offered for sale from this mare, she is older and we plan to keep any future foals.
"Tito" is by Blackburn Defender out of Sheza Okey Lion who is by Lions Share of Fame. This colt truly got the best from both his parents and is the definition of a perfect run/cow cross. He is smart, athletic and has that born broke demeanor we have come to love from the Blackburn Defender foals.
His dam, Sheza Okey Lion "Hennessy", is beautiful bay mare that is big, athletic and FAST. We had the opportunity to train this girl on the barrels and compete on her for a short time. The owners were moving focus this year to some younger horses and offered us the chance to lease her for a foal.
Registration is pending and he will be weaned and ready for his new home in September. Will accept payments until weaning with a non-refundable deposit.
